Responsibilities

• Safely driving a rear or front load garbage truck
• Safely driving and operating a roll off truck
• Safely entering & exiting the truck at each stop
• Safely operating packing controls on garbage truck
• Safely operating roll off mechanisms
• Safely dumping cans, carts, and dumpsters
• Returning customers cans / carts in a neat and safe manner
• Lifting items up to 75 lbs
• Talking to customers in a courteous and polite manner
• Washing truck and other equipment as well as routine maintenance
• Delivery and removal of containers
• Assembly and preparation of new containers prior to delivery to customers
• Repairs and maintenance of dumpsters and totes
• Assist in daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of truck hydraulic systems (greasing) and other duties as necessary

This is not exhaustive list of responsibilities and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

What to Expect

• Follow directions completely from supervisor and upper management
• Work around moving and dangerous machinery on the garbage truck
• Work in and around street traffic (moving and stationary)
• Work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)

Requirements

Valid driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a minimum of three (3) years of clean driving history.

Hours

Daytime weekdays, with some weekends
